Brinolar Bkc Free Eye Drops 5ml

Brinolar Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Lowering high intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients

• Managing open-angle glaucoma by reducing elevated IOP

• Controlling ocular hypertension to prevent optic nerve damage and potential vision loss

Follow these instructions while using Brinolar Eye Drops:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before use.

• Shake the bottle well before each application.

• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper directly over your eye and squeeze one drop into the pocket, being careful not to touch your eye or any other surface with the dropper tip.

• Close your eye gently, applying pressure to the inner corner of your eye for 1-2 minutes to prevent the medication from draining out.

• If using multiple eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between each medication.

• Remove contact lenses before instilling the eye drops, and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Brinolar Eye Drops is applied topically.

Brinolar Eye Drops contain two active ingredients that work together:

• Brinzolamide (1%): This is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works by reducing the production of aqueous humour, a clear fluid in your eyes. A decrease in aqueous humour production helps lower the IOP.

• Polyhexamethylene biguanide (0.02%): This ingredient acts as a preservative with antimicrobial properties. It helps maintain the sterility of the eye drops and prevents bacterial contamination during use.

• Keep Brinolar Eye Drops at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Protect the bottle from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Ensure the eye drop bottle is always firmly closed when not in use.

• Store this medicine beyond the reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Always check the expiry date on the packaging before use and do not use it past this date.

• If you have open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, try to reduce your caffeine intake. This can help manage intraocular pressure as caffeine may increase it temporarily.

• Regular physical exercise, such as walking or jogging, can help lower intraocular pressure and improve blood flow to your eyes. However, avoid heavy lifting or straining as these activities might increase intraocular pressure. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regime.
