Brivazen 50 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing partial-onset seizures: These are seizures that start in one part of the brain.

• Controlling seizure episodes when used alone or with other anti-epileptic medications.

• Stabilising abnormal electrical activity in the brain, which helps prevent seizures from spreading.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing, or breaking the tablet.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first. It's important to continue taking it as prescribed even if you feel well.

Brivazen 50 Tablet is taken orally.

Brivazen 50 Tablet contains brivaracetam (50 mg), which impacts your body in the following manner:

• Binds to SV2A Protein: Brivaracetam works by binding to a specific protein in your brain called synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A). SV2A is believed to play a significant role in the release of neurotransmitters from vesicles in the brain.

• Reduces Abnormal Electrical Activity: By binding to SV2A, brivaracetam is thought to help reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain that leads to seizures. This action helps decrease the hyperexcitability that often causes seizures.

• Prevents Spread of Seizure Activity: The binding of brivaracetam to SV2A also helps prevent the spread of seizure activity across the brain, making seizures more manageable.
