Broncorex Sugar Free Expectorant 100ml

Broncorex Syrup is used for the following:

• Providing relief from chest congestion and coughs associated with excessive mucus production

• Managing respiratory conditions like bronchitis which are characterised by inflammation and swelling of the bronchial tubes

• Helping patients with bronchial asthma, a chronic condition where the lining of the airways becomes inflamed and swollen

• Assisting in managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a type of obstructive lung disease characterised by long-term breathing problems

• Easing symptoms in bronchiectasis cases, a condition where damage to the airways causes them to widen and become flabby

• Alleviating issues related to emphysema, a lung condition that causes shortness of breath.

Administer Broncorex Syrup as follows:

• Use the provided measuring cup to measure the correct dosage of the syrup.

• Ensure you shake the bottle well before each use.

• This medicine is sugar-free, making it suitable for diabetic patients. However, if you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

• It can be consumed with or without food as per your convenience.

Broncorex Syrup is taken orally.

Broncorex Syrup contains three active ingredients:

• Bromhexine (4 mg): Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent that works by reducing the thickness of mucus secretions in your airways. It breaks down mucopolysaccharides directly and releases specific enzymes that make mucus less dense and sticky. This action helps clear mucus through ciliary action and coughing.

• Terbutaline (1.25 mg): Terbutaline serves as a bronchodilator by relaxing smooth muscles in your airways. It achieves this by binding to and activating β2 adrenergic receptors on airway muscle cells, increasing cyclic AMP levels, which causes smooth muscles to relax, bronchial passages to dilate, and breathing to become easier.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): This expectorant increases the output of phlegm and bronchial secretions by reducing their adhesiveness and surface tension. As a result, the efficacy of the mucociliary mechanism in removing accumulated secretions from both the upper and lower airways improves.

• Store Broncorex Syrup at a temperature below 25 °C.
