Careprost Eye Drops are used to treat raised pressure inside the eye in conditions such as open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. By lowering eye pressure, they help protect the optic nerve and reduce the risk of vision loss.
It contains bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analogue. It works by increasing the drainage of fluid from inside the eye, which lowers the pressure. Use the drops as directed by your doctor, and avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface.
Simple measures support treatment. Use the drops at the same time each day for steady pressure control, and if you use more than one eye drop, leave a gap of a few minutes between them.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any eye conditions or other eye drops you use. Increased eyelash growth and gradual darkening of the coloured part of the eye can occur. Report any marked eye pain, redness, or changes in vision.
