Careprost Eye Drops are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, helping to protect sight over the long term.

Uses of Careprost Eye Drops are:

• Open-Angle Glaucoma: Lowers raised eye pressure to help prevent damage to the optic nerve.
• Ocular Hypertension: Reduces high pressure inside the eye.
• Vision Protection: By controlling eye pressure, helps lower the long-term risk of vision loss.

• Ensure your hands are clean before touching the eye drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper above the eye and squeeze out one drop into this pocket.

• Close your eyes gently without blinking or squinting.

• Keep your eyes closed for 1 to 2 minutes. This helps the eye drops to absorb into your eyes.

• If you're using contact lenses, remember to remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes after applying before reinserting them.

Careprost Eye Drops contains the following components:

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): This component acts as a preservative in the solution. It prevents microbial growth inside the multi-dose container and helps maintain its sterility. Additionally, it may enhance corneal permeability to bimatoprost by acting as a surfactant that disrupts bacterial cell membranes.

• Bimatoprost (0.03%): This ingredient is a synthetic prostamide similar in structure to prostaglandin F2α, a natural compound in your body. It reduces high IOP by increasing the outflow of a liquid known as aqueous humour through two specific pathways in your eye - the uveoscleral pathway and trabecular meshwork. This process helps maintain normal eye pressure and prevents potential damage caused by high IOP.

• Store Careprost Eye Drops upright in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light and do not freeze it.

• Do not leave the bottle open; seal it tightly after use to prevent contamination.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.
