Cefadrox 500mg Tablet is used to treat respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, helping clear the infection and relieve symptoms related to these bacterial conditions.

Cefadrox 500 Tablet, should be taken as your doctor recommends.
Swallow it as a whole with water after your meal to avoid stomach discomfort.
Do not cut, crush, break or chew the medicine.
It would be best to take it at a fixed time for optimal results.

Cefadrox 500 Tablet, should be administered orally.

Cefadrox 500mg Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion, stomach pain, rash, and itching.

Managing the Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing Cefadrox 500 Tablet. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Cefadroxil Monohydrate (500mg): This is a bactericidal agent i.e it kills the infection causing bacteria completely. Pregnancy

Antibiotics like Tetracycline, Erythromycin, Sulphonamides, and Chloramphenicol when taken with Cefadrox 500 Tablet in tends to interact and decrease the effect of Tetracycline, Erythromycin.
Medications to lower cholesterol such as cholestyramine when taken with Cefadrox 500 Tablet in tends to interact and decrease the effect of Cholestyramine in the gut.
Uricosuric agents such as probenecid when taken with Cefadrox 500 Tablet in tends to interact and incraese the effect of Cefadrox 500 Tablet.
Loop diuretics such as furosemide when taken with Cefadrox 500 Tablet in tends to interact and incraese the effect of Cefadrox 500 Tablet.
Anti-coagulant like Heparin and Warfarin when taken with Cefadrox 500 Tablet in tends to interact and decrease the effect of the Warfarin.

Drug-Disease Interactions

The Cefadrox 500 Tablet interacts with the following diseases

Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) may worsen on taking Cefadrox 500 Tablet.
Colitis may worsen on taking Cefadrox 500 Tablet.
Kidney disease may worsen on taking Cefadrox 500 Tablet.
Liver disease may worsen on taking Cefadrox 500 Tablet.

Daily Dose

The daily dose of Cefadrox 500 Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the age, severity of the condition and response to treatment.

Over Dose

If you forget to take the dose of the Cefadrox 500 Tablet take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dose is near, skipping the missed dose and resuming your regular dosage pattern is recommended.

Missed Dose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Cefadrox 500 Tablet by accident, it is essential to take the patient to the nearest doctor. The symptoms of an overdose include constricted pupil (miosis), vomiting, hypotension, seizures and respiratory depression.
