Cefitaxe-200 DT Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections by stopping bacterial growth.

Uses of Cefitaxe-200 DT Tablet are:

• Respiratory and ENT Infections: Treats tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia and sinus infections.
• Urinary Infections: Manages bladder and kidney infections.
• Typhoid and STIs: Treats typhoid fever and gonorrhoea.

Here's how you should take Cefitaxe-200 DT Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• The tablet can be taken with or without food.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

• If you find it hard to swallow, dissolve it in a small amount of water and take it immediately.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Cefitaxe-200 DT Tablet is taken orally.

Cefitaxe-200 DT Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Cefixime (200 mg): This ingredient weakens the bacterial cell wall by binding to and inactivating proteins essential for their synthesis. As a result, bacteria break open and die. Being a broad-spectrum antibiotic, cefixime works effectively against many types of bacteria and isn't affected by bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes.

• Lactobacillus (60 million spores): These are "friendly" lactic acid bacteria that restore the normal balance of gut microflora disturbed by antibiotics. Lactobacillus competes with harmful bacteria and inhibits their growth; thereby reducing the risk of diarrhoea often associated with antibiotic usage.

• Ensure Cefitaxe-200 DT Tablet is kept at room temperature.

• The medicine must be stowed away from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep the medicine out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use this medication before its expiry date.

• If you're taking this medicine for urinary tract infections, hydrate well. Consuming ample water can help flush bacteria out of your system.

• For respiratory tract infections, refrain from smoking. Tobacco smoke can aggravate your symptoms and prolong recovery time.
