Cefotax 1000 Injection 1 is used for managing the following conditions:

• Pneumonia and other infections in the lower respiratory tract.

• Management of Gonorrhoea, a sexually transmitted infection.

• Meningitis and other infections in the brain or spinal cord.

• Severe kidney, urinary tract, bone, joint, and skin infections.

• Abdominal infections

• Infections in female reproductive organs.

• Preventing infection before surgery or during/after a caesarean section.

Administer Cefotax 1000 Injection 1 as follows:

• This medicine should only be administered by a healthcare professional.

• It's prepared as a solution from a powder mixed with a suitable sterile liquid.

• The injection can be given either into a muscle (intramuscularly) or directly into a vein (intravenously).
