Cefotax 1000 Injection is used to treat serious bacterial infections involving the lungs, urinary tract, skin, bones, and joints. It contains cefotaxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and is also prescribed for conditions such as meningitis, gonorrhoea, and for preventing infections after surgery by controlling bacterial spread.
This injection is commonly used in conditions such as pneumonia, meningitis, gonorrhoea, and severe infections involving the kidneys, urinary tract, abdomen, skin, bones, joints, and female reproductive organs. It is also administered as a preventive measure to reduce the risk of infection during surgical procedures, including caesarean sections, under hospital supervision.
