Cetirizine Syrup is an anti-allergic medicine used in children to relieve symptoms like sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, watery or itchy eyes, itching, and skin rashes caused by allergies such as common cold, hay fever, urticaria (hives), and conjunctivitis (red, itchy eye).

Here's how to give your child Cetrizine Syrup:

• Use a proper millilitre measuring device to ensure accurate dosage.
• Remember to shake the bottle well before each use.
• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this syrup.
• Always keep the bottle securely capped after use.

Cetrizine Syrup is given orally.

Cetrizine Syrup contains cetirizine hydrochloride (5 mg) which works on your child's body in the following ways:

• Blocks H1 Receptors: Cetirizine acts as a selective antagonist of peripheral H1 receptors. These are specific sites in the body where histamine, a chemical messenger released during an allergic reaction, acts.
