Cheston LS Junior Syrup is used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Symptoms of the common cold in children

• Paediatric bronchitis, marked by inflammation of the bronchi

• Asthma in children, characterised by the narrowing of airways and difficulty breathing

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a long-term lung disease that makes it hard to breathe

• Allergic rhinitis, an allergic response causing itchy, watery eyes and sneezing

Cheston LS Junior Syrup should be given to your child as follows:

• Use the measuring cup or spoon provided with the bottle to ensure accurate dosing.

• Give the medicine orally to your child.

• It's best to give this medicine around meal times.

• Keep the syrup bottle securely capped after use.

• As this is a sugar-free formulation, it's safe for children who have diabetes. However, if your child has any health condition, do consult your doctor before starting this medicine.

Cheston LS Junior Syrup contains a trio of active ingredients that each contribute uniquely towards managing respiratory symptoms:

• Levosalbutamol (0.5 mg): Also known as levalbuterol, this bronchodilator stimulates beta-2 receptors in the lungs, leading to the relaxation of smooth muscles in the airways. This action results in wider airways, making it easier for your child to breathe and reducing symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath.

• Ambroxol (15 mg): This mucolytic agent breaks down mucus in the airways, making it thinner and less sticky. By doing so, it aids in removing mucus from the airways which helps improve breathing and reduce coughing. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory properties which help soothe irritation in the respiratory tract.

• Guaifenesin (50 mg): As an expectorant, guaifenesin helps to loosen and thin out mucus in the airways, easing its expulsion through coughing.
