• Metoprolol succinate (50 mg): Metoprolol succinate acts as a cardioselective beta1 adrenergic receptor blocking agent. It competes with adrenaline to bind to beta1 receptors in the heart, which helps in reducing heart rate, myocardial contractility (which means the force with which heart muscles contract), and cardiac output (the volume of blood pumped by the heart per minute).
