CilniKem-Beta 5 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Helping with angina pectoris (chest pain due to heart disease)

• Assisting in the management of heart failure

Here's how you should take CilniKem-Beta 5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not alter the dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor first. This could lead to unwanted side effects.

CilniKem-Beta 5 Tablet is taken orally.

CilniKem-Beta 5 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage high blood pressure:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This ingredient is a calcium channel blocker. It works by blocking the entry of calcium into the smooth muscle cells in your blood vessels. This results in the relaxation of these muscles and widening of your blood vessels, which decreases the resistance to blood flow and hence lowers your blood pressure. Additionally, cilnidipine has a mild effect that promotes the excretion of sodium, further aiding in controlling your blood pressure.

• Nebivolol (5 mg): This is a beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It works by blocking certain natural substances in your body, like epinephrine, from acting on your heart and blood vessels. This results in a slower heart rate and less forceful heart contractions, which in turn lowers your blood pressure. Nebivolol also helps in the release of a substance called nitric oxide, which further relaxes and widens your blood vessels, contributing to a decrease in your blood pressure.

• Store CilniKem-Beta 5 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, safe from moisture and light.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• As CilniKem-Beta 5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure, it could be beneficial to limit your salt intake. High-sodium foods can increase blood pressure.
