Clopitab-A 150 Capsule is used to prevent heart attack and stroke in people with a history of heart disease, stroke, or blocked blood vessels. It contains clopidogrel and aspirin, two antiplatelet medicines that work together to stop blood cells from sticking together and forming dangerous clots.
Take the capsule as prescribed, generally at the same time each day, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as stopping suddenly can increase your risk of a heart attack or stroke.
A heart-healthy lifestyle supports this medicine. Eat a diet low in saturated fat and salt, stay physically active as advised, maintain a healthy weight, and avoid smoking to help protect your heart and blood vessels.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, or liver disease. Report any unusual bruising, bleeding, or black stools promptly, as this medicine increases your bleeding risk. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
