Clopitab-CV 20 Capsule is used to manage high cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular complications. It helps reduce bad cholesterol levels while preventing blood clot formation. This combination lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related conditions.

Clopitab-CV 20 Capsule is taken following these steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush, or open the capsule.

Clopitab-CV 20 Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together to achieve its medicinal properties:

• Atorvastatin (20mg): This lipid-lowering medication works by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in your liver. This enzyme is required to produce cholesterol. By inhibiting this enzyme, atorvastatin effectively reduces the levels of 'bad' LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood, while increasing 'good' HDL cholesterol. This helps to lower the risk of heart disease and prevent heart attacks and strokes.

• Clopidogrel (75mg): As an antiplatelet agent, clopidogrel helps to prevent the formation of harmful blood clots. It does this by irreversibly binding to P2Y12 receptors on platelets, preventing adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from activating these platelets. This action helps to maintain smooth blood flow in your body. For clopidogrel to be effective, it must be converted to its active form by enzymes in your liver.
