Clopitab-CV 20 Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together to achieve its medicinal properties:

• Atorvastatin (20mg): This lipid-lowering medication works by blocking an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in your liver. This enzyme is required to produce cholesterol. By inhibiting this enzyme, atorvastatin effectively reduces the levels of 'bad' LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in your blood, while increasing 'good' HDL cholesterol. This helps to lower the risk of heart disease and prevent heart attacks and strokes.

• Clopidogrel (75mg): As an antiplatelet agent, clopidogrel helps to prevent the formation of harmful blood clots. It does this by irreversibly binding to P2Y12 receptors on platelets, preventing adenosine diphosphate (ADP) from activating these platelets.
