Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule is used for the following:

• Lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood

• Reducing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and vascular death in patients with atherosclerosis confirmed by recent heart attack, recent stroke, or established peripheral arterial disease

• Preventing blood clots in patients who have had a recent heart attack or stroke, unstable angina, or established peripheral vascular disease.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the capsule.

• If swallowing is difficult, you can open the capsule and sprinkle its contents onto a spoonful of applesauce. Then swallow straight away.

• Always take your medicine as advised by your doctor.

Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule contains three active ingredients that work together in your body:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This is an antiplatelet medicine that reduces the clumping of platelets, tiny blood cells that help wounds heal and prevent bleeding. By preventing these platelets from sticking together, aspirin helps reduce the risk of harmful blood clots that can cause heart attacks or strokes.

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): As a statin, atorvastatin blocks an enzyme in your liver that your body needs to make cholesterol. This leads to lower levels of LDL, often called "bad" cholesterol, and higher levels of HDL, or "good" cholesterol. Lowering your cholesterol can help prevent heart disease and hardening of the arteries.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): This is another antiplatelet medicine that works by preventing platelets from becoming activated and sticking together to form clots. Like aspirin, clopidogrel helps to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
