Combitide 250 Inhaler 120 Mdi

Combitide 250 Inhaler is used for the following:

• Regular management of asthma in patients needing a combination product

• Managing asthma in patients not adequately controlled on inhaled corticosteroids alone

• Patients with severe disease severity that warrants initiation of treatment with both an inhaled corticosteroid and long-acting beta2-agonist

• Symptomatic relief for patients with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who have a history of repeated exacerbations

• Patients with significant symptoms despite regular therapy with long-acting bronchodilators

Use Combitide 250 Inhaler as suggested below:

• Before use, ensure to shake the inhaler well.

• Position the inhaler correctly, exhale completely, and then breathe in deeply while pressing down on the canister to release the medication.

• Hold your breath for about 10 seconds after each inhalation to allow the medication to reach deep into your lungs.

• Rinse your mouth with water without swallowing after each use to reduce the risk of oropharyngeal candidiasis.

Combitide 250 Inhaler is administered via inhalation.

Combitide 250 Inhaler contains two active substances:

• Salmeterol (25 mcg): This selective, long-acting beta2-adrenoceptor agonist stimulates intracellular adenyl cyclase, causing an increase in cyclic AMP. The increase in cyclic AMP leads to the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle and inhibition of the release of mediators of immediate hypersensitivity from cells, especially mast cells.

• Fluticasone Propionate (250 mcg): This synthetic, trifluorinated corticosteroid has potent anti-inflammatory activity. By acting on multiple cell types and mediators involved in inflammation, it reduces airway hyper-responsiveness and mucosal oedema, or swelling of the airway walls.

• Store Combitide 250 Inhaler at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Protect the medicine from direct sunlight and heat.

• Keep away from children's reach and sight.

• The canister shouldn't be punctured, broken, or burnt, even if it seems empty.

• Make sure to use the inhaler before its expiry date.

• To manage asthma or COPD symptoms effectively with Combitide 250 Inhaler, avoid exposure to allergens like dust mites, pet dander, and smoke which can trigger an attack. Make sure your surroundings are clean.

• A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains can boost your immune system and help you fight respiratory infections better. Remember to hydrate well. This will also help thin out mucus in the airways.
