It is specifically indicated as an initial therapy for patients likely to need multiple medicines, or as replacement therapy for those already successfully controlled on the same fixed doses of amlodipine and perindopril.

Here's how you should take Coversyl AM 4/5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with sufficient water.

• Food is not a concern as the tablet can be taken with or without it.

• Avoid crushing, chewing, or breaking the tablet.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless instructed by your doctor.

• It is crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Coversyl AM 4/5 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This ingredient acts by blocking the movement of calcium into certain muscles in your body, specifically your heart and the walls of your blood vessels. By doing so, it helps these muscles relax and widen, effectively lowering high blood pressure.

• Perindopril (4 mg): This component works by inhibiting an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) in your body. ACE converts a substance called angiotensin I into another compound called angiotensin II, which narrows your blood vessels and releases hormones that can raise your blood pressure. By limiting ACE's activity, perindopril lowers blood pressure by widening blood vessels and reducing the amount of water put back into your blood by your kidneys.
