Diane 35 Tablet is used to treat androgen-dependent conditions such as moderate to severe acne and/or hirsutism (excessive facial or body hair) in women of reproductive age. It also provides contraception during treatment. It is not indicated solely for contraception and should be used for women who require treatment for these androgen-related conditions.

Here's how you should take Diane 35 Tablet:

• Avoid discontinuing this medication without your doctor's advice. Always consult your doctor before stopping.

Diane 35 Tablet is taken orally.

Diane 35 Tablet contain two active ingredients that work together:

• Cyproterone (2 mg): This component acts as a progestogen and anti-androgen. It works by blocking the overproduction of male hormones (androgens) in the ovaries that cause symptoms like acne or unwanted hair growth.
• Ethinyl estradiol (0.035 mg): This synthetic form of estrogen helps regulate the menstrual cycle and reduces the excessive production of androgens in women suffering from PCOS.

Together, these two components help manage the hormonal imbalances associated with PCOS and also serve as a contraceptive by preventing ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary).
