Doran O Tablet 10

Doran-O Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Preventing nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy

• Reducing vomiting after radiation therapy or surgery

• Managing erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Maintaining healing of erosive or ulcerative GERD

• Managing symptomatic GERD

• Healing duodenal ulcers

• Reducing recurrence risk of duodenal ulcers by eradicating Helicobacter pylori

• Managing pathological hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

To use Doran-O Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush, or split the tablet.

• Take this medication before a meal, preferably in the morning.

• Ensure to follow your doctor's advice about when and how to take this medicine.

Doran-O Tablet is taken orally.

Doran-O Tablet contains two key ingredients:

• Ondansetron (4 mg): As a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, ondansetron works by blocking specific serotonin receptors found in your central and peripheral nervous system. These receptors trigger the vomiting reflex when activated by certain chemicals like serotonin. By preventing this activation, ondansetron effectively reduces nausea and vomiting.

• Rabeprazole (20 mg): This proton pump inhibitor works by targeting an enzyme called H+, K+-ATPase in the cells lining your stomach. This enzyme is responsible for producing hydrochloric acid in your stomach. By binding to this enzyme and inhibiting its function, rabeprazole helps decrease the production of stomach acid, allowing damaged gastrointestinal mucosa to heal.

• Doran-O Tablet should be stored in a cool, dry place, ideally between 20° to 25°C.

• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

• Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Always remember to check the expiry date on the packet before using.

• If you frequently experience nausea or vomiting, try eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day instead of three large ones. This can ease your digestive system.

• To manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), consider reducing your intake of spicy, fatty or fried foods as they can aggravate your condition.
