Drotikind Injection is used for the following purposes:

• Manage spasms in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
• Manage spasms associated with the intestine, bile, kidney stones and uterus

Drotikind Injection is administered intravenously or via an intramuscular route.

Drotikind Injection contains the following component:

• Drotaverine (40 mg): It acts as a phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor by inhibiting phosphodiesterase enzymes. It increases cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), leading to muscle relaxation. This activity makes it effective in relieving spasms, particularly in conditions involving smooth muscle hyperactivity, such as abdominal pain

• Store this medicine at room temperature (15-25ºC).
• Protect it from light and moisture.
