CompositionDysmen Tablet is used to relieve painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea) and abdominal spasms. It eases the cramping muscle and reduces the inflammation that makes period pain feel intense.
It contains dicyclomine, an antispasmodic that relaxes the smooth muscle of the womb and gut, and mefenamic acid, an anti-inflammatory painkiller that blocks the chemicals (prostaglandins) that trigger cramps and pain.
Take the tablet as soon as cramps start, preferably with food or milk, usually three times a day for the first 2 to 3 days of your period.
Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma or stomach ulcers before use. Staying hydrated and using a warm compress can help.
