Elocon Cream 10Gm

Elocon Cream is used for the topical management of steroid-responsive skin conditions in adults and children, as directed by a doctor.

Uses of Elocon Cream are:

• Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis): Reduces redness and itchiness associated with eczema flare-ups.
• Contact Dermatitis: Eases skin inflammation caused by contact with an irritant or allergen.
• Psoriasis: Helps manage mild to moderate scaly, itchy patches on the skin.
• Seborrheic Dermatitis: Relieves redness, itching, and flaking, including on the scalp.

Follow these instructions while using Elocon Cream:

• Cleanse the affected area before applying the cream.

• Apply a thin film of the cream to the affected areas on your skin once daily.

• Rub in gently until it's fully absorbed.

• Wash your hands after applying the cream unless your hands are being treated.

• Avoid using this cream on your face, groin, or underarms unless specifically directed by your doctor.

• Do not cover the treated area with bandages or dressings unless advised by your doctor.

Elocon Cream is applied topically.

Elocon Cream contains mometasone (0.1%), which works in the following ways:

• Inflammation Reduction: Mometasone inhibits the release of inflammatory substances in your skin. It does this by stimulating the production of lipocortins, proteins that control the creation of potent inflammation mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes.

• Alleviation of Skin Symptoms: By reducing the release of these inflammation-causing substances, mometasone helps manage redness, swelling, and itching associated with various skin conditions.

• Store Elocon Cream at typical room temperature, below 30°C.

• Protect it from direct sunlight.

• Always keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep it out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• Elocon Cream should not be frozen.

• If you're managing eczema or psoriasis with Elocon Cream, try to identify and avoid potential food allergens like eggs, dairy, nuts, etc., as they might trigger flare-ups.

• Regular moisturising of your skin is crucial. Use hypoallergenic moisturisers to prevent dryness and itchiness, common symptoms of dermatitis and psoriasis.
