Emeset-4 ODT Tablet is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting. It belongs to a class of medicines known as antiemetics, which help control feelings of sickness.
It contains ondansetron, which blocks the action of serotonin, a chemical in the body responsible for triggering nausea and vomiting. It is often used in people undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgery. The tablet dissolves on the tongue; take it as directed by your doctor, with or without water.
Staying well hydrated and eating small, light meals can help manage nausea alongside this medicine. Avoiding strong smells or foods that trigger nausea may also help.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart rhythm problems, liver disease, or are taking other medicines. Contact your doctor if you experience severe constipation, a fast or irregular heartbeat, or vision changes.
