Enzoheal Ointment is used to treat localized bacterial skin infections, such as impetigo (red sores), folliculitis (infected hair follicles), and minor infected wounds or burns. It helps control the spread of infection and supports skin healing. Because it is effective against common skin bacteria, it is commonly used for managing crusting, weeping, or painful skin lesions.
This ointment contains Mupirocin, a topical antibiotic. It works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that bacteria need to survive and multiply. It is effective against common bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus species.
Clean and dry the affected area before applying a small amount of the ointment three times a day, or as prescribed by your doctor. You may cover the treated area with a sterile gauze bandage if needed. Complete the full course of treatment, usually 5 to 10 days, even if the skin looks better, to help ensure adequate treatment of the infection. Avoid getting the ointment in your eyes or nose.
