CompositionEpleHef 25 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure and to improve survival in adults with heart failure and reduced heart pumping function following a recent heart attack.
It contains eplerenone, a medicine that blocks the hormone aldosterone. It works by helping the body remove excess salt and water while keeping potassium, which lowers blood pressure and eases the strain on the heart.
Take it with or without food as prescribed.
Avoid potassium supplements and salt substitutes that contain potassium unless your doctor advises. Tell your doctor about any kidney problems, high potassium or diabetes before use. Your potassium and kidney function are monitored, and report muscle weakness or an irregular heartbeat.
