Eslo-AT Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina (heart-related chest pain). Lowering high blood pressure decreases heart strain and reduces the risk of serious events like heart attacks and strokes.
It combines two blood pressure lowering medicines: S-amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes and widens blood vessels, and atenolol, a beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and decreases its pumping effort.
Take this tablet at a consistent time every day, with or without food. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as an abrupt termination can cause a rapid rise in blood pressure or worsen your chest pain.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, liver or kidney problems, a slow resting heart rate, or diabetes. It is not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
