Esomac D 40 Capsule is used to manage GERD, functional dyspepsia, heartburn, and stomach irritation by reducing acid production and improving the movement of food through the digestive tract. It also helps prevent nausea and the sensation of stomach fullness after meals.
It contains esomeprazole, a potent proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that blocks the enzyme responsible for producing stomach acid, providing long-lasting acid reduction, and domperidone, a prokinetic agent that improves gastric emptying and prevents acid from flowing back into the oesophagus. The sustained-release formulation provides extended symptom control.
Take the capsule on an empty stomach, ideally one hour before the first meal of the day. Swallow it whole, do not crush or open the capsule. Consistency is important for the protective barrier to remain effective throughout the day.
Diarrhoea, flatulence, and dry mouth are commonly reported and usually mild. Tell your doctor about any liver conditions, heart rhythm problems, or other medicines you are taking, particularly antifungals or HIV medications, before starting.
