Espra DSR Capsule is used to manage GERD, peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It helps reduce acid reflux, heartburn, nausea, and bloating. This medicine is effective in easing discomfort caused by acid regurgitation and improving digestive health. Take as prescribed by your doctor for optimal relief.

Here's how you should take Espra DSR Capsule:

• Ensure to swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing or opening the capsule before taking it.

• The capsule should be taken at least 30 minutes before a meal.

Espra DSR Capsule is taken orally.

Espra DSR Capsule brings together two active ingredients:

• Domperidone (30 mg): This component acts as a dopamine antagonist. It increases the movement of your stomach and intestines, aiding in digestion. It also reduces feelings of nausea and vomiting by blocking dopamine's action in the brain. Furthermore, it strengthens the lower oesophageal sphincter's tone, thus preventing acid from flowing back into the oesophagus.

• Esomeprazole (40 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), esomeprazole reduces acid production in your stomach. It does so by blocking an enzyme involved in producing stomach acid. This action provides relief from heartburn and acid regurgitation while promoting the healing of peptic ulcers and preventing their recurrence.

• Store Espra DSR Capsule at a cool room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture to protect its efficacy.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• Use the medication within the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you're taking Espra DSR Capsule for managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), try eating smaller meals and avoid lying down immediately after eating. This helps reduce stomach acid going back up into your oesophagus, which can cause heartburn and other symptoms.

• To help manage peptic ulcers, avoid alcohol and spicy foods as they can increase stomach acid, which can worsen ulcer symptoms. Instead, choose foods that are soothing to the stomach such as bananas, yoghurt, or oatmeal.
