Etosys Tablet 10

Etosys Tablet is used to control excessive bleeding in conditions such as heavy menstrual bleeding, and surgical blood loss. It is also used to manage nosebleeds, gum bleeding, by helping reduce blood loss and stabilise clot formation.

Here's how you should take Etosys Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• You can take the tablet with or without food.

• Never take more than your doctor has advised.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Etosys Tablet is taken orally.

Etosys Tablet contains two active ingredients working together to manage excessive bleeding:

• Etamsylate (250 mg): This haemostatic agent works by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary resistance. This means it helps blood platelets stick together better at the site of bleeding and strengthens small blood vessels, thus promoting the stoppage of blood flow.

• Tranexamic Acid (250 mg): As an antifibrinolytic agent, tranexamic acid slows down the breakdown of fibrin, a protein crucial for blood clot formation. By inhibiting fibrinolysis (the process that breaks down blood clots), tranexamic acid effectively stabilises the formed blood clots and reduces bleeding.

• Store Etosys Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 20-25^oC.

• Keep it away from direct light, heat, and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Do not store in the bathroom or kitchen where humidity is high.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Ensure you consume the medicine before its expiry date for optimum results.

• If you experience heavy menstrual bleeding, consuming iron-rich foods like lentils, spinach, and tofu can help replenish your body's iron stores and manage anaemia symptoms.

• Regular exercise such as walking or yoga can help manage menstrual cramps associated with heavy periods. Remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.
