FCN-400 Tablet 1 is used for the following health conditions.

Uses of FCN-400 Tablet 1 are:

• Oropharyngeal and Oesophageal Candidiasis: Treats fungal infection of the mouth and food pipe.
• Cryptococcal Meningitis: Treats this serious fungal infection of the central nervous system.
• Prevention in Bone Marrow Transplant Patients: Helps prevent candidal infections in these patients.
• Systemic Candida Infections: Addresses candidaemia, disseminated candidiasis and pneumonia, as well as urinary tract infections and peritonitis due to Candida.

You can follow these instructions while taking FCN-400 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken with or without food as directed by the doctor.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless told to do so by your doctor.

• It's crucial not to discontinue this medicine without prior consultation with your doctor.

FCN-400 Tablet is taken orally.

FCN-400 Tablet contains fluconazole (400 mg), which performs its action on the body as follows:

• Inhibits Cytochrome P450 Enzyme 14α-Demethylase: Fluconazole works by blocking an enzyme called cytochrome P450 enzyme 14α-demethylase. This enzyme is crucial for converting a substance called lanosterol into ergosterol. Ergosterol plays a key role in maintaining the structure and function of the fungal cell membrane.

• Increases Fungal Cell Membrane Permeability: By inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, fluconazole weakens the structure of the fungal cell membrane. This causes an increase in membrane permeability, which disrupts essential cellular processes, eventually leading to the death of the fungal cells.

1. Store FCN-400 Tablet in a cool, dry place with and temperature not exceeding 25 °C.

2. Protect it from excessive light and moisture.

3. Keep the medicine safely out of children's reach.

4. Use the medicine before the expiration date printed on the packaging.
