CompositionFebrex Plus Syrup is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold in children, such as fever, headache, body ache, a blocked or runny nose and sneezing. It is a combination medicine containing paracetamol (a fever reducer and pain reliever), phenylephrine hydrochloride (a nasal decongestant) and chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihistamine).
This medicine is also used to ease allergy symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose and watery eyes. Measure each dose accurately with the device provided and give it to your child as prescribed by the doctor. Do not give it for longer than advised.
Keeping your child well hydrated, letting them rest and dressing them in light clothing during fever can help them feel more comfortable. Keeping your child away from smoke and dust may also ease symptoms.
This medicine should not be used in children below 4 years of age. Before giving it, tell the doctor if your child has liver, kidney, heart or thyroid problems, diabetes or asthma, and about any other medicines your child takes, especially other medicines containing paracetamol or cold remedies.
