Fentin Vaginal Capsule 1

Fentin Vaginal Capsule is used for the management of vulvovaginal candidiasis caused by Candida species. It helps relieve symptoms such as vaginal itching, burning sensation, redness, irritation, and abnormal discharge. The capsule also reduces discomfort during urination and sexual intercourse by clearing the underlying fungal infection.

To correctly use Fentin Vaginal Capsule, please follow these instructions:

• Insert the capsule deep into the vagina at bedtime.
• Ensure you wash your hands both before and after insertion.
• Use an applicator or clean finger to insert the capsule as far as comfortably possible.
• It's vital to use the medicine for the full duration of 3 days, even if symptoms improve.
• Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment as it may reduce the effectiveness of Fentin.
• Do not use this medicine during menstruation. For specific advice, consult your doctor.

Fentin Vaginal Capsule contains fenticonazole (600 mg). Here's how fenticonazole works in your body:

• Inhibits Ergosterol Synthesis: Fenticonazole blocks an enzyme called lanosterol 14α-demethylase that helps convert lanosterol into ergosterol - a key component of the fungal cell membrane.
• Disrupt Fungal Cell Membrane: By inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, fenticonazole causes a buildup of 14α-methylated sterols in the fungal membrane. This increases its permeability and leads to leakage of cellular contents - disrupting the structure and function of the fungal cell membrane.

By doing so, fenticonazole effectively inhibits fungal growth and replication - managing yeast infections caused by Candida species.

• Store Fentin Vaginal Capsule in a closed container at room temperature, between 15-30°C.
• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
