Fenza Vaginal Capsule 2

Fenza Vaginal Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing vulvovaginal candidiasis, a yeast infection of the vagina and vulva, typically caused by Candida species such as C. albicans, C. glabrata, and C. tropicalis.
• Reducing symptoms of vaginal itching, burning, and soreness
• Controlling vaginal irritation and discharge

Here's how to administer the Fenza Vaginal Capsule:

• Insert the prescribed dosage of capsule high into the vagina using the applicator provided or a clean finger. It's best to do this at bedtime to minimise leakage.
• Lie down while inserting the capsule to ensure it stays in place.
• If symptoms persist after three days, you may need to repeat the dose.
• Remember not to engage in vaginal intercourse during treatment.

Fenza Vaginal Capsule is administered intravaginally.

Fenza Vaginal Capsule contains fenticonazole (600 mg) which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibition of Ergosterol Synthesis: Fenticonazole works by stopping the production of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By doing this, it disrupts the structure and function of these membranes.
• Increases Cell Membrane Permeability: With ergosterol synthesis inhibited, fenticonazole causes an increase in cell membrane permeability leading to leakage of cellular contents and eventual fungal cell death.
• Localised Antifungal Action: Once administered intravaginally, fenticonazole accumulates in vaginal tissue and secretions where it remains active against Candida for up to 72 hours post-dose. This ensures targeted action at the site of infection.

• Store Fenza Vaginal Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15-25°C.
• Keep the medicine away from direct light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
• Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach of children to avoid accidental consumption.
• Always check the expiry date on the package and use the medicine before it expires.

• Regularly consume probiotics, like yoghurt or other fermented foods, which can help balance your body's natural yeast population. This can aid in managing vulvovaginal candidiasis, which Fenza Vaginal Capsule helps manage.
• Avoid wearing tight undergarments and switch to cotton underwear; this allows better air circulation, reducing moisture and lowering your risk of yeast infections.
