Ferinject 500Mg Injection 10Ml

Ferinject Injection is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia in adults and adolescents who cannot tolerate oral iron or who need rapid correction of iron levels.

Uses of Ferinject Injection are:

• Iron Deficiency Anaemia: Rapidly restores iron stores and haemoglobin levels in people who cannot take or have not responded to oral iron.
• Rapid Iron Replenishment: Suitable when quick correction of iron deficiency is needed, reducing the need for multiple treatment sessions.

Administer Ferinject Injection as suggested below:

• Remember, this medicine is administered by a doctor, not self-administered.

• The medicine is given intravenously (into a vein) by a doctor.

• It's important to stay under medical supervision during and after the administration process.

• You should inform your doctor about any unusual symptoms or discomfort experienced during the process.

• For IV infusion administration, the solution should be diluted in sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

Ferinject Injection is administered intravenously.

• Uptake by Reticuloendothelial System: After the injection is administered, ferric carboxymaltose is absorbed by a part of your immune system called the reticuloendothelial system, located in your liver, spleen, and bone marrow.

• Iron Release: The complex releases iron which is either stored as ferritin or transported to the bone marrow.

• Hemoglobin Production: In the bone marrow, the iron is incorporated into hemoglobin – a protein within red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout your body.
