Festive-Dee Optic Eye/Ear Drops contains the following components:

• Ofloxacin (0.3% w/v): It is classified as a quinolone antimicrobial agent that acts by inhibiting bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase—both essential type II topoisomerases. These enzymes play vital roles in DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination processes.
• Dexamethasone (0.05% w/v): It is a potent glucocorticoid that operates by inhibiting the migration of neutrophils, reducing lymphocyte colony proliferation, and enhancing the stability of lysosomal membranes. Additionally, it contributes to decreased permeability of capillary membranes.
• Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (0.025% w/v): It belongs to cellulose ethers and is a lubricant and viscosity-enhancing agent. It helps soothe and moisturise the eyes or ears, relieving infection discomfort.
• Benzalkonium chloride (0.02 % v/v): It is a quaternary ammonium antiseptic and disinfectant, sharing properties with other cationic surfactants. Additionally, it functions as an antimicrobial preservative in pharmaceutical products, particularly in multidose aqueous nasal, ophthalmic, and otic formulations.
