• Sinusitis: This syrup also helps alleviate some of the symptoms associated with sinusitis, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, and minor pain. 
• Tonsillitis: The symptoms of tonsillitis, including sore throat and minor pain, can also be alleviated with this syrup. 
• Middle ear infection: Flucold syrup may help relieve minor pain associated with middle ear infections. However, it is important to consult a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment of middle ear infections, as they may require antibiotics or other specific interventions.

• Shake the bottle of Flucold syrup well before use.
• Use the provided measuring cup or dropper to measure the correct dose of the syrup.
• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

The medicine activity of the active ingredient in Flucold syrup is as follows:

• Chlorpheniramine maleate: Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine. It blocks the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body during an allergic reaction. By inhibiting histamine, chlorpheniramine helps relieve symptoms associated with allergies, such as sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes.
• Paracetamol: Paracetamol, known as acetaminophen, is a pain reliever and fever reducer. It belongs to the drug class called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). It works by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals in the body that contribute to pain and fever.
• Phenylephrine: Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant. It belongs to the drug class called sympathomimetic decongestants, which are used to relieve nasal congestion. It constricts the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion. It helps relieve symptoms of nasal congestion, such as a stuffy or blocked nose.
• Sodium citrate: Sodium citrate helps reduce the acidity in the throat and relieves symptoms associated with a sore throat. It works by neutralising excess acid and soothing the throat, which can help alleviate discomfort and irritation.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Flucold syrup away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids, such as water, and herbal teas, to stay hydrated and help soothe the throat.
• Offer warm liquids like warm water with honey or warm herbal teas to relieve a sore throat and ease congestion.
• Ensure your child gets sufficient rest to aid recovery and support the immune system.
• Use saline nasal sprays or drops to help clear nasal passages and reduce congestion.
• Encourage your child to breathe in steam from a bowl of warm water to alleviate nasal congestion and soothe irritated airways.
• Minimise exposure to smoke, pollution, and other irritants that can worsen symptoms.
• Apply a warm compress over the sinus area to help relieve pain and promote drainage.
• Offer soft and easily swallowed foods like soups, mashed potatoes, yoghurt, and smoothies to avoid irritating the throat.
• Encourage your child to gargle with warm salt water to help alleviate throat discomfort.

• Do not give this syrup if your child takes any other prescription or contains paracetamol or acetaminophen.
• If the symptoms persist for over three days, consult your doctor for a thorough diagnosis of your child.
• Do not share Flucold syrup with any other child, even if they have similar symptoms to your child.
• Record the child's dosage and the time of each dose for effective treatment.
