Flucold DS Suspension is composed of four active ingredients:

• Paracetamol/Acetaminophen (250 mg): As an analgesic and antipyretic, it reduces fever and relieves pain by blocking the production of inflammation-causing chemicals called prostaglandins in the brain and spinal cord.

• Sodium citrate (60 mg): Being an expectorant, it eases coughing by loosening mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough out.

• Phenylephrine hydrochloride (5 mg): This nasal decongestant relieves nasal stuffiness and sinus pressure by constricting the small blood vessels in the nasal passages thereby reducing inflammation.

• Chlorpheniramine maleate (2 mg): This antihistamine works by blocking histamine - a chemical released by the body that triggers allergic reactions causing symptoms like runny nose and sneezing.
