Foracort 200 Synchrobreathe Inhaler is used for the regular, long-term control of asthma and COPD in adults, helping prevent wheeze, chest tightness and breathlessness. It is not for the immediate relief of a sudden attack.
It contains budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, and formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes and opens the airways. The breath-actuated device releases the dose as you breathe in.
Use it regularly as prescribed, even when you feel well, and rinse your mouth with water after each use. Always keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler for sudden attacks.
Tell your doctor about any tuberculosis, osteoporosis, diabetes or heart problems before use. In COPD, inhaled steroids can slightly raise the risk of pneumonia, so report a fever or worsening breathlessness.
