Foracort 200 Synchrobreathe Inhaler is used for the long-term management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in adults. The Synchrobreathe technology is a breath-actuated mechanism that releases the dose automatically as you inhale, eliminating the need for hand-breath coordination.
It contains budesonide 200mcg and formoterol 6mcg per actuation. Use it as prescribed at the same time each day. Rinse your mouth with water and spit after each use to prevent oral thrush caused by the inhaled corticosteroid. This inhaler is used to prevent asthma and COPD symptoms and is not intended for the immediate relief of sudden breathlessness.
Correct inhaler technique, consistent mouth rinsing, keeping up with vaccinations, avoiding smoking, and keeping a separate quick-relief inhaler available all support respiratory health alongside this medicine.
Before using this inhaler, tell your doctor about any tuberculosis, osteoporosis, diabetes, heart conditions, or other medicines. COPD patients have an increased risk of pneumonia with inhaled corticosteroids. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
