Fortius 10 Tablet is used to lower high cholesterol and triglycerides in adults and children, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke and helping to slow the progression of atherosclerosis.

• High Cholesterol: Lowers LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and may raise HDL cholesterol.

• Familial Hypercholesterolaemia: Used in adults and children with genetically high cholesterol.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Fortius-10 Tablet contains rosuvastatin (10 mg) and works in your body as follows:

• Increasing LDL receptor density: Rosuvastatin increases LDL receptor density on liver cells, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL, better known as "bad" cholesterol from your bloodstream.

• Reducing hepatic synthesis of VLDL: Rosuvastatin inhibits hepatic synthesis of VLDL, which is a precursor that gets converted to LDL. By doing so, it reduces the total number of particles that can lead to artery-clogging plaques.

This dual action helps effectively lower total cholesterol levels in your body while modestly raising HDL or "good" cholesterol levels contributing to heart health.
