Fosirol Powder is used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs), including acute cystitis and bladder infections. It helps eliminate bacteria such as E. coli and relieves symptoms like burning urination, frequent urges, and urinary discomfort in both adults and children.

• Pour the entire contents of Fosirol sachet into a glass of water (90-120 ml) 
• Stir to dissolve it completely.
• Take it immediately after dissolving in water.
• Do not store the medication.

Fosirol powder is taken orally.

Fosfomycin, the active ingredient in Fosirol powder, exhibits antibacterial activity. It works by inhibiting the formation of enzymes involved in the early stages of bacterial wall synthesis. By blocking this enzyme, fosfomycin disrupts the formation of bacterial cell wall. This disruption weakens the bacterial cell wall structure, making it more susceptible to damage and ultimately leading to the death of the bacteria.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 25 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Fosirol powder away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Drink plenty of water throughout the day to help flush bacteria out from the urinary tract.
• Take cranberry juice or cranberry supplements. These are known to prevent UTIs by interfering with the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract lining. 
• Limit or avoid potential irritants such as caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, and artificial sweeteners, as they may exacerbate UTI symptoms.
• Do not hold urine for extended periods. It can allow bacteria to multiply in the urinary tract. Urinate when you feel the urge to do so.
• Urinate before and after sexual activity. It will help flush out bacteria that may have entered the urethra during intercourse.
• Avoid using harsh soaps, douches, or hygiene sprays that can disrupt the natural balance of bacteria in the genital area.
