Foxstat 40 Tablet 10

Foxstat 40 Tablet is used for the chronic management of hyperuricemia in gout patients and for preventing uric acid accumulation in the blood, reducing the risk of gout flare-ups and related complications.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Foxstat-40 Tablet is taken orally. 

Foxstat-40 Tablet contains the following component:

• Febuxostat (40 mg): It is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor which acts by inhibiting the enzyme xanthine oxidase. This enzyme is responsible for converting purines into uric acid. By blocking this enzyme, Foxstat-40 Tablet reduces the production of uric acid. By limiting uric acid production, It helps lower the levels of this compound in your blood. This is crucial because high uric acid levels can form urate crystals in joints, causing gout attacks.

The storage instructions for Foxstat-40 Tablet are as follows:

• Foxstat-40 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid heavy workouts that strain your joints. Opt for low-impact activities like treadmill walking and swimming. Strengthen your muscles with light weights.
• Minimise sitting time, as prolonged immobility worsens arthritis. Use a rolled-up towel for back support, maintain a right angle for knees and hips, and consider a footrest.
• Cut back on high-purine foods like organ meats and oily fish. Embrace plant-based proteins from beans and legumes.
• Choose complex carbs like whole-grain bread, fruits, and veggies over sugary sweets and refined carbohydrates.
