Gudcef CV 200 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the throat, lungs, sinuses, urinary tract, skin, ears, and sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea. It contains Cefpodoxime to inhibit bacterial growth and Clavulanic Acid to enhance its effectiveness, managing a variety of infections.

Here are instructions to follow while taking Gudcef-CV 200 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid chewing, crushing, or breaking the tablet.
• Take the medicine at a fixed time each day for optimal effectiveness.
• Continue taking this medicine for the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve.

Gudcef-CV 200 Tablet is taken orally.

Gudcef-CV 200 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (200 mg): As a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, cefpodoxime proxetil works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. This means it prevents the formation of a protective covering that bacteria need to survive. This action eventually weakens and kills the bacteria.
• Potassium Clavulanate (125 mg): This ingredient is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Some bacteria make beta-lactamase enzymes, which can break down certain antibiotics, causing antibiotic resistance. Potassium clavulanate binds to and stops these enzymes, reducing bacterial resistance and enhancing the activity of cefpodoxime proxetil against infection-causing bacteria.
