Herpikind 800 Tablet is used to manage viral infections caused by the herpes family of viruses.

Uses of Herpikind 800 Tablet are:

• Genital Herpes: It manages active infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus to reduce localised discomfort.
• Herpes Zoster (Shingles): It reduces painful symptoms and speeds up the skin healing process during an outbreak.
• Varicella Zoster (Chickenpox): It helps control symptoms and accelerates recovery from this viral infection.
• Herpes Labialis (Cold Sores): It aids in managing and healing painful viral sores around the mouth area.

To use Herpikind-800 Tablet effectively, follow these steps:

Herpikind-800 Tablet contains aciclovir (800 mg) which interacts with your body as follows:

• Conversion into Triphosphate: The aciclovir in Herpikind-800 Tablet is converted into aciclovir triphosphate by certain enzymes present in both viral and cellular structures.

• Inhibition of DNA Polymerase: Aciclovir triphosphate inhibits an enzyme called viral DNA polymerase which is fundamental for the replication of the virus.

• Incorporation into Viral DNA: The transformed aciclovir triphosphate gets incorporated into the viral DNA. This interrupts the chain of DNA formation and thus hinders viral replication.

These mechanisms collectively contribute to slowing down the growth and spread of the herpes virus within your body.
