Herpikind-800 Tablet is used for the management of various health conditions:

• Managing infections caused by Herpes simplex virus, including genital herpes

• Reducing symptoms and speeding up healing of Herpes zoster, commonly known as shingles

• Controlling Varicella zoster virus infections that cause chickenpox

• Assisting in the management of Herpes labialis, also known as cold sores

To use Herpikind-800 Tablet effectively, follow these steps:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Herpikind-800 Tablet is taken orally.

Herpikind-800 Tablet contains aciclovir (800 mg) which interacts with your body as follows:

• Conversion into Triphosphate: The aciclovir in Herpikind-800 Tablet is converted into aciclovir triphosphate by certain enzymes present in both viral and cellular structures.

• Inhibition of DNA Polymerase: Aciclovir triphosphate inhibits an enzyme called viral DNA polymerase which is fundamental for the replication of the virus.

• Incorporation into Viral DNA: The transformed aciclovir triphosphate gets incorporated into the viral DNA. This interrupts the chain of DNA formation and thus hinders viral replication.

These mechanisms collectively contribute to slowing down the growth and spread of the herpes virus within your body.

• Maintain an ideal storage temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep it out of reach of children and pets.

• Use it before the expiry date specified on the package.

• If you have herpes or shingles, try to maintain good personal hygiene to prevent the spreading of the infection to others. This includes washing hands frequently, especially after touching the infected area.
