CompositionIsofit Tablet 10 is used to treat conditions caused by low progesterone in women, such as irregular or painful periods, endometriosis and threatened or repeated miscarriage. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing dydrogesterone, which belongs to a class of medicines called progestogens (female hormones).
This medicine is also used to support pregnancy during fertility treatment (luteal phase support), to manage premenstrual syndrome, absent periods and abnormal uterine bleeding, and together with oestrogen in hormone replacement therapy. Take it by mouth, with or without food, exactly as prescribed; the dose and timing depend on the condition being treated.
Keeping a record of your periods or any bleeding, eating a balanced diet and attending all follow-up appointments help your doctor review your treatment.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding, liver disease, a history of blood clots, depression, or a hormone-sensitive cancer, and about other medicines you take. Seek medical help straight away if you have heavy bleeding, pain or swelling in one leg, chest pain, sudden breathlessness, a severe headache or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Report low mood. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
