Ivepred 8 Tablet is used to treat severe allergic reactions, asthma, and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. It helps reduce inflammation, easing swelling and pain in affected joints and airways.
This medicine contains methylprednisolone, a corticosteroid. Take it exactly as prescribed, often with food to help prevent stomach irritation. Do not stop taking this tablet suddenly, as the dose usually needs to be reduced gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
While on this medicine, ensure adequate calcium and vitamin D intake through diet or supplements, as advised by your doctor, to help support bone health. Limit salt and sugar intake, as corticosteroids can raise blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have any history of infections, diabetes, or high blood pressure. Report signs of infection, unusual mood changes, or worsening symptoms promptly. This medicine is not suitable during pregnancy without medical advice.
