Ketol B Cream 10Gm

Ketol-B Cream is used for the following:

• Management of ringworm of the body (Tinea corporis)

• Management of jock itch (Tinea cruris)

• Management of athlete's foot (Tinea pedis)

• Correcting skin discolouration caused by fungal infection (Tinea versicolor)

• Managing cutaneous candidiasis, a yeast infection of the skin

• Reducing the symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis, a scaly, itchy rash

To correctly use Ketol-B Cream, follow these steps:

• Ensure the affected area is clean and dry before application.
• Apply the cream over the infected skin and surrounding area as directed by your doctor.
• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly unless you're treating a hand infection.
• Follow your doctor's advice regarding how often to apply the cream daily.
• Use Ketol-B Cream consistently for the entire duration prescribed by your doctor to prevent a recurrence.

Ketol-B Cream is applied topically.

Ketol-B Cream contains two active ingredients that work together to manage fungal skin infections:

• Ketoconazole (2%): This component is an antifungal agent. It works against a variety of fungi that can cause infection in humans. Ketoconazole disrupts fungi's cell membranes by inhibiting the production of a substance called ergosterol, which is a major component of fungal cell membranes. As a result, the contents inside the cell leak out, causing the fungal cells to die and clearing up the infection.

• Beclomethasone Dipropionate (0.025%): This component is an anti-inflammatory agent. It suppresses inflammatory reactions associated with fungal skin infections by inhibiting the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation and swelling, thereby reducing discomfort and itching.

• Store Ketol-B Cream at normal room temperature, away from excessive heat and moisture.

• Keep it in a place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Avoid exposing the cream to direct sunlight.

• Always keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.

• Ensure that children cannot reach it.

• For optimal effectiveness, use the cream before its expiry date.
