Lactihep Syrup is a medicine used to treat chronic constipation and to help manage hepatic encephalopathy. It works by drawing water into the intestines to soften stool and promote regular bowel movements.
Take Lactihep Syrup with plenty of water to help it work effectively. It should be taken as prescribed, even if your bowel movements return to normal. Continue taking it regularly to prevent constipation from returning. Stopping the medicine suddenly may cause constipation to recur.
Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is an important part of managing constipation. This includes eating foods rich in fibre such as vegetables, fruits, and whole grains; maintaining regular physical activity; and avoiding foods that can cause constipation.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any severe kidney or liver problems, bowel obstruction, or are taking other medicines. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. Your doctor may monitor your liver function if you are using this medicine for hepatic encephalopathy.
