Lafaxid 10 Tablet 10

Lafaxid-10 Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Antacids: Medicines such as aluminium or magnesium hydroxide antacids may reduce the absorption of Lafaxid-10 Tablet. It's advisable to take these antacids at least 2 hours apart from Lafaxid-10 Tablet.

• Anti-ulcer Medication: Sucralfate, a medicine used for managing ulcers, might decrease the absorption of Lafaxid-10 Tablet. To avoid this, take Lafaxid-10 Tablet at least 1 hour before sucralfate.

• Anticoagulants: Warfarin, a blood thinning medicine, could have its effect increased when taken with Lafaxid-10 Tablet. Hence, regular monitoring of blood clotting time (prothrombin time/INR) is recommended during combined use.

There are no specific food items known to interact significantly with Lafaxid-10 Tablet.

Lafaxid-10 Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Renal Impairment: If you have moderate to severe kidney problems, your body's exposure to lafutidine might be increased. Your doctor may consider reducing the dose of Lafaxid-10 Tablet in such cases.

• Hepatic Impairment: For those with mild to moderate liver issues, the way lafutidine is processed in your body isn't significantly changed. However, it's always wise to inform your doctor about any existing liver conditions before starting this medicine.

The daily dose of Lafaxid-10 Tablet should be as directed by your doctor. The dosage can vary based on individual factors such as the condition's severity and your response to the medication. Ensure you follow the prescribed dosage and never exceed it without consulting with your doctor.

In case of an accidental overdose, common side effects like constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, nausea or sleepiness may occur. If you experience these, or if symptoms seem to persist or worsen, it's important to inform your doctor.
