Lefumide-10 Tablet is a medicine used to manage rheumatoid arthritis, a condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the joints, and psoriatic arthritis, a type of joint inflammation that occurs in some people with psoriasis.
It contains leflunomide and belongs to a group of medicines called disease-modifying antirheumatic medicines (DMARDs). By weakening the overactive immune system, it reduces joint inflammation, eases symptoms, and helps prevent joint damage. Take it exactly as prescribed, and continue even if you feel well.
Regular gentle exercise suited to your joint condition, along with a balanced diet, helps support overall joint health alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems, infections, or if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Attend regular blood tests to monitor your liver and blood counts. Report mouth ulcers, unusual bruising, tingling or numbness, or persistent stomach pain.
