Levera XR-500 Tablet is used to manage partial-onset seizures in adults and children aged 12 years and above with epilepsy, and is also used as adjunctive therapy to control myoclonic seizures and primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures.
It contains levetiracetam, an anticonvulsant. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food, at the same time each day, and do not stop taking it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Getting enough sleep, avoiding alcohol, and identifying and avoiding your personal seizure triggers can help support seizure control alongside this medicine. Wearing a medical alert bracelet is also advisable.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, a history of depression or mood changes, or are pregnant or planning pregnancy, before starting. Report any new or worsening mood changes, unusual thoughts of self-harm, or a rash immediately.
