Levosiz Tablet 15

Levosiz Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, which includes symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, an itchy nose or throat, and watery eyes.

• Reducing the symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria, which involves itching and hives.

To use Levosiz Tablet, please follow these instructions:

• This medicine can be taken with or without food as per your doctor's advice.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid breaking, chewing or crushing it.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible unless it's nearly time for the next dose. Do not double up on doses to catch up.

• Continue to take this medicine as your doctor has advised.

Levosiz Tablet is taken orally.

The main component of this medicine is levocetirizine (5 mg), which works in the following way:

• Antagonises Peripheral H1 Receptors: Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks certain natural substances called histamines that your body makes during an allergic reaction.

• Inhibits Early-Phase Allergic Reactions: By blocking histamines, levocetirizine can help prevent early-stage allergic reactions, such as sneezing or a runny nose.

• Reduces Inflammatory cell migration: Levocetirizine lessens the movement of certain cells involved in inflammation. This action helps decrease symptoms like itching and redness.

• Decreases Capillary Permeability: Levocetirizine reduces swelling and mucus secretion by lowering the ability of small blood vessels to allow fluids and other substances through their walls.

• Inhibits Bronchial Smooth Muscle Contraction: Levocetirizine can help prevent the tightening of your airways, which often occurs during an allergic reaction. This helps you breathe more easily.

• Keep Levosiz Tablet in a dry place where the temperature is under 30°C.

• Shield the medicine from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its potency.

• Place this medication beyond children's reach to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Use Levosiz Tablet before the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you suffer from allergic conditions managed by Levosiz Tablet, try to identify and avoid potential allergens in your diet. These could include certain foods, smoke, or dust.

• Regular exercise can boost your immune system and potentially lessen the severity of allergic reactions. However, if you're managing allergic rhinitis with Levosiz Tablet, refrain from outdoor activities during days with high pollen counts.
